One of the best parts of a photo booth has to be the prints. I mean, that’s what we’re here for, right?! Guests love that they will have a personalized keepsake from your biggest day that they get to take home with them, and you and your soon-to-be-Mr.-or Mrs. will have a one-of-a-kind photo print template that is uniquely yours.
The question is, how do you go about making a unique photo booth print template? Luckily, we live in the age of the internet where a plethora of creative (a free!) tools exist to help even the most non-creative types design the perfect template for your big day. Here are a few of our favorite ways to easily design awesome print templates for your photo booth.
Canva.com is a great resource for everything creative. Their drag and drop layouts make it super easy to design anything from Instagram posts to custom menus (anyone doing menus for your wedding dinner??). It’s also a great tool to create a custom photo booth template.
Simply select “Create a Design” from the main menu, then select “Use Custom Dimensions”. You’ll want to set the dimensions of your design to 4” x 6”. From there you can customize the background and text using any of their premade options and fonts. You can even add in logos and designs- just be sure to leave space for the photos to fit on the template!
Once your design in Canva is complete, select the “Download” button and save your masterpiece as a .jpg file. Send that over to your photo booth provider and they should be able to load that into your booth with no problems at all!
Sometimes a simple template says the most. Minimalistic templates are some of our favorites, especially in the 4”x 6” format. If you already have a monogram for your wedding, you’re already pretty much there. Most photo booth companies will allow you to add your emblem to the template, you’ll just need a .png or vector file you can send over to them.
If you need to have a monogram made, a couple great options are Fiverr or Zilliondesigns. Zilliondesigns is a free tool and through Fiverr you can get a unique design at a very affordable cost. If you do use either of those options, just be sure you acquire the png file so you can add it to your template.
Warning! Some basic photoshop skills are required (and you have to own Photoshop!) in order to go this route. However, if you have the patience, these templates will come out looking amazing!
Sites like photoboothtemplates.com have a wide variety of awesome photobooth templates you can download for relatively cheap. Once you find one you like, they will send you a photoshop file of the print template. Open that puppy up in photoshop and you’ll be able to customize the lettering to your event and make any adjustments you like. Again, save that as a jpg file and send it over to your photo booth company. They can take it from there!
So, those are just a few ways to create a spectacular wedding photo booth print template! No print template is complete without a sweet backdrop for the photos. Check out our post on DIY backdrop ideas if you need some inspiration.
